For years, our mornings were pure chaos—waking up late, scrambling to get shoes on, running to / or missing the bus, and raising our voices in the rush to get out the door.

All of that stress… just so the boys could sit on a bus for 45 minutes to go less than 5 miles to school, Every day.

Growing Up

My dad went to work early, leaving mom to wake and dress all 5 girls on her own, the older we got, the more stubborn we became.

I don't know how my mom managed all the stress we caused her.

we fought getting up - we fought for the one bathroom we had - we fought over clothes, shoes, makeup and the sock basket that was always impossible to match.

Mom would hand us a juice box and granola bar as we ran out the door to the bus that was waiting. Some years the bus stop was right on the corner, usually, it was a block away, I remember running to the bust more days than not.

Every morning, I arrived at school feeling ill from the bus ride, looking disheveled, still sleepy

I can't change the past, but I can learn from it.

I wanted all our mornings to feel like an invitation into the day, not a battle.

So, we made a conscious choice: a new routine, a new rhythm, a new energy.

Our New Morning:

Mom and Dad wake up early to enjoy quiet morning coffee together; we discuss our day before our boy's wake.

The boys alternate Yoga with Mom & Gym time with Dad.

It gives them movement, breath, and a sense of strength before the day even begins.

After a solid 30-minute workout, I make breakfast while the boys are getting ready,

we eat and spend time together before Dad drives them to school.

Everyone moves through the morning with ease rather than urgency-

no more long bus rides, no more frantic energy, they get to school early and have more time to be with their friends before class.

It’s amazing how peaceful life feels when we choose intention over habit.

No stress. No rush. Just good mornings—the kind that set the tone for the whole day.

🌞Happy Monday from our Wild & Sacred family to yours. 🌞
